New Single-Origin Coffee, Cold Brew and Summer Drinks, Art Exhibition: July News from R&B Cafe

Hi!

This month is pretty exciting as we have a new coffee arrival and we are excited to host our second art exhibit in our coffeeshop! But as it is the Summer, we are also pleased to share our new Summer drinks menu, of which of course Cold Brew coffee, for which we share how to make it yourself at home!

- So first , let s start with our new coffee!

Last year we were very fortunate to work with Tukan coffee who introduced us to the Danilo Barbosa family production. Danilo Barbosa is one of the best coffee producer in Brazil and won the Cup of Excellence in 2021. After the Raoni coffee, this month we are bringing to you a second variety grown on his Cachoeira farm, in the Cerrado region of Brazil. This Red Catuai is a naturally processed coffee, grown between 840 m - 1,140 m above sea level, and goes through an anaerobic fermentation for 60 hours before being dried out in the sun for about 2 weeks. The result in the cup is a sweet, caramel coffee with a sweet acidity. Click here to find out more about it.

2. Cold brew and our new Summer drinks

This coffee is great as an espresso or French press, but as it is the Summer, why not enjoy Cold brew? Not familiar with what cold brew coffee is? Read our blog article about it here.

This is actually the healthiest way to enjoy coffee, and is perfect this hot season, as it makes for very refreshing coffee that you can enjoy black, or with a dash of milk, with lemonade even!

For Cold brew we recommend our Indonesian or Ethiopian coffees as both are sweet and fruity with a very refreshing acidity that will quench any thirst.

If you are not in the mood for coffee, we have also prepared new Summer drinks to enjoy in our air-conditioned coffeeshop: house-made kombucha, mango matcha latte, Bubble tea or Cold brew tonic are just a few that you can now find on our menu until the end of the Summer.

3. New art exhibit! from artist Valeriya Vasileva

This month we are also proud to exhibit the artwork of our very good friend Valeriya Vasileva,

Valeriya, a Bulgarian living in Ljubljana, is a former architect who has rediscovered her creativity through drawing illustrations with a single line. Her one-line drawings symbolize the connections we have in the journey of life. Every person we meet, every event we experience is part of a larger, interconnected story, and Valeriya captures this belief in her art.

She draws on various topics, but she especially loves connecting family members, lovers, and friends with her single line. Her work makes perfect gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Each drawing is a testament to the idea that nothing in life is a coincidence; everything and everyone is connected.

Come and discover the art that connects us all. We can’t wait to see you. Her art work will be in the coffeeshop for the whole month of June. If you are an artist or know one who would like to use our coffeeshop to exhibit their art at no charge, please share our contact with them. We would love to showcase more local artists in our cafe.

See you out and about at the cafe , if not enjoy the Summer!
